In 2001, the Chaumont-sur-Loire International Garden Festival, France, selected Cao’s “Desert Sea” for the Festival’s Mosaiculture theme.
The rope walled theatrical installation was inspired by multi-cultural influences from Vietnamese water puppets to African dress.
